Sonal Bhatia cut her teeth on AFL-CIO backed campaigns in Indiana. She
brings a sharp business mind and a passion for justice.
Born in the Detroit area, Sonal grew up in West Lafayette, Indiana. She
earned her bachelor's degree from Swarthmore College, and law degree
from Washington University in St. Louis. At Wash U, she taught an
undergraduate course and litigated on behalf of domestic violence
victims. Sonal also continues to do extensive research and writing on
issues involving the law, race, and gender.
Sonal's diverse career gives her a realistic, boots-on-the-ground view. She brings not only a legal background,
but also a history of business success at a major software company and
grassroots political organizing. Sonal looks forward to using her
experience to help in the firm's fight for working people. She is admitted to practice in New Mexico and Missouri.
